Believe Keepsake Box by GrapeVine Ceramics & Gifts |
I believe we are making progress - In Phase One Update, I told how we wanted to reclaim the basement from the craft and "where is this supposed to go again" creep.
I'm proud to say - we found the pool table and made the two boys that are still at home very happy. As a matter of fact one of the boys already had his friends that were home from college over hang out and play a few rounds. It was great to see them all together again. My purpose years ago when Santa delivered it was so I could provide a space where they wanted to spend time and stay out of trouble.
We also found the table and china hutch.
Which means with a few more tweaks and finding the bar hubby can host his traveling card night at our house.
It's not the prettiest right now and truthfully has been a work in progress since we bought the house; but once the clutter is gone, maybe I can start working a wall over at a time as funds permit. That and I'm dreaming of built in book shelves - I have the wall all picked out.
very nice so much work
ReplyDeleteThank you - It's my own fault really, I let the crafts overtake the area. And then the kids added to it by having things they wanted to "save" but not have in their rooms.
DeleteThe joys of moving! My place is now where near organized yet either! Enjoy every bit of it! I'm sure you'll be happy when you're all done!
ReplyDeleteYou're making great progress! It's a great feeling to get rid of the clutter and gain usable space. I'm trying to do the same thing in my work space.
ReplyDeleteAfter working at my mother in laws we are really trying to purge anything that doesn't have a purpose or doesn't serve us anymore. The pool table was actually on the cutting board for a while.
DeleteWow you have been busy!
ReplyDeleteYes hoping to have it all clean by the end of the month so I can get back into my work area on a regular basis.
DeleteGlad to see that you are making progress!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize how much until I started writing the post. Progress is slow but so worth while.
DeleteIt's going to be fantastic when it's done - and it's great that the kids have a place to hang out now!
ReplyDeleteI have had plans in my head for years. Hoping to make some of them reality this year. One step at a time.
DeleteThank you all - this has been a long process - Once we get it all cleaned up we are hoping to make it the place we spend the most time - Warm in the winter due to the wood burning stove and cool in the summer. Plus a room not show is the space I work in.
ReplyDeleteUnique Cozy Treasures - Looks great! Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Your post today brought back a flood of memories!
DeleteNow if I can just keep it up :)
ReplyDeleteThat's some great progress you are making. You've regained a lot of usable space now. Reclaiming space is so HARD! Maybe I should clean my office area ...
ReplyDeleteThat's on next weeks list :) I love your new studio space.
DeleteYou are making great progress... clutter is very hard to clean up but certainly does not seem to take long to happen... we are starting on our place next week.
ReplyDeleteGood luck - It feels really good to see some of it getting done.
Deletewhat wonderful finds. I love pool. I'm working on decluttering too; it seems to be that time of year.
ReplyDeleteThe kids let me play once in a while. It is that time of the year I'm just hoping I can keep it clean this time.
DeleteI love re-finding treasures that were lost or forgotten
ReplyDeleteYou should see some of what we found. Keep watching maybe you will :)
DeleteWooow !!! amazing Michelle, Slowly slowly you will get there the most important is to have the imagination or the idea of how do you want it to look like. once you have it everything just flow :) Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you - Hubby and I were talking how my plan is changing a bit from the original. We'll have to wait and see how it works out.
DeleteCongrats on the progress, lovely changes!
